Call To Worship
Leader: Come to our
God,
all who hunger for life,
People: for it is God who nourishes us
at the table of grace.
Leader: Come to our God,
all who are worn-out by life,
People: for it is God who provides
the rest we need.
Leader: Come to our God,
all who are weighed down,
People: for it is our God who carries
our burdens with us.
Opening
Prayer
Come among us, O God, and reveal to us once more your ways of justice and mercy. Help us to live humbly before you doing your will. Give us the wisdom to forsake the judgments of others about our lives, that we may stay focused on following Jesus. Amen.
Children’s Moments
CONFESSING
Call
to Confession
Leader: Let us confess to God and before one
another our sins, and especially the ways we place barriers between people and
you.
General
Confession
People: We confess to you, O
God, and before one another that we have sinned. We like to call ourselves
Children of God. We think of the term as being capitalized, for we are a
special people. We judge people by their diet, their dress, and their outward
behavior. All of this in spite of the fact that Jesus told us not to do it. All
of this in spite of the fact that Jesus did just the opposite; yet we call
ourselves his disciples. Forgive our foolish ways of erecting barriers for
people and restore in us the Spirit of Jesus which welcomes all people into the
kingdom. Amen.
Words
of Assurance
Leader: God in love created us and God in love redeems us. May God's forgiveness and Spirit make us bold to follow Jesus with wholeheartedness.

Lord’s
Prayer
Our Father who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom
come. Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day
our daily bread, and forgive us our trespasses,
as we forgive those who trespass against us, and lead us not into
temptation, but deliver us from evil. For thine is the kingdom, and the power,
and the glory, for ever Amen
RESPONDING
Call
to Offering
Jesus said, "Come unto me all
you that are weary and are carrying heavy burdens, and I will give you rest."
Let us give freely of what we have been given to help others whose burdens are
heavier than our own.
Invitation
to Give
Prayer
of Dedication
Pastor:
We give you back your own, whatever the gift may be.
People: All
that we have is yours alone, a trust, O God, from you.
Pastor: To comfort and to
bless, to find a balm for sadness,
People: To tend the lone and homeless is our own work for you.
Pastor: And we
believe your word, though dim our faith may be
People: Whatever we do for you, O God, we do it in your name. Amen.
SENDING
Benediction
Pastor: Jesus
said, "Come unto me, all you that are weary."
People: We came and found refreshment for our souls.
Pastor: Jesus said, "Take my yoke upon you, and learn
from me."

remembering that your yoke is easy and your burden light.
Pastor: With joy in the name of Christ, you are blessed.
