-Gathering into worship-
Welcome
Gary
Burdick, Lay Leader
*Call to Worship
One: As
we come together, let us settle into stillness...(silence)
Slowly,
ever slowly, we center our minds and our hearts…(silence)
Let
your care and your weariness fall away...(silence)
Enter
deeply into silence...
We
are one with the universe,
We
are one with the sun and the stars,
We
are one with the One who is Mystery, who created the heavens
and the earth.
All: O marvelous Mystery! I am one with the One who is Mystery, the One
who created me, and loves, me, and whose Spirit lives in me.
in The Faith We Sing
*Opening Prayer
One: Let
us pray together:
All: Grandfather, Great Spirit, You have always
been, and before you nothing has been.
There is no one to pray to but you.
The star nations all over the heavens are yours, and yours are the
grasses of the earth. You are older than
all need, older than all pain and prayer.
Grandfather, Great Spirit, fill us with light. Give us strength to understand and eyes to
see. Teach us to walk the soft earth as
relatives to all that lives. Help us,
for without you we are nothing.
Amen.
*Chorus “Surely the Presence of the Lord Is in
This Place” #328
Surely the presence of the Lord is in
this place.
I can feel God's mighty power and God's
grace.
I can hear the brush of angel's wings, I see glory on each face.
Surely the presence of the Lord is in
this place.

Silent Prayer / Pastoral Prayer / Lord’s Prayer
Our
Father who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name.
Thy kingdom come, thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread; and forgive
us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us; and lead us not
into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For thine is
the kingdom and the power and the glory forever. Amen.

Holy
God, you have poured out so much for us— the beauty of the world, the care of
family and friends, meaningful labor, and the gift of the church. We give you
thanks for these and many other gifts. Most especially, we thank you for
pouring your love into our hearts through the Holy Spirit. Through these
offerings, may your love spill over in glad abundance that brings relief,
renewal, and hope to those in need. In Christ’s name we pray. Amen.
