Welcome
Gary Burdick, Lay Leader
Opening Psalm
Psalm 99
*Call to Worship
The Lord is king; let the people tremble.
The
Lord is enthroned upon the cherubim; let the earth shake. . . .
Proclaim the greatness of the Lord and worship
upon God’s holy hill;
for the Lord our God is the Holy One.
*Hymn “Immortal,
Invisible, God Only Wise” #103
*Prayer of Confession
Merciful
and gracious God, we bow before your unending compassion, the measure of our
falling short.
We have
not loved as you command.
We have
not spoken truly.
We have
not cared for creation, including ourselves, according to your will.
What we
intend, we have not pursued; what we mean to avoid, we embrace.
Help us
to know the mind of Christ that in all thoughts, words, and deeds, our lives
might come to honor you. Amen.
*Declaration of Forgiveness
*Chorus “Turn Your Eyes upon Jesus” #349
Turn your eyes upon Jesus,
Look full in His wonderful face,
And the things of earth will grow strangely
dim, in the light of His glory and grace.

The Great Thanksgiving
The Lord be with
you.
And also with you.
Lift up your hearts.
We
lift them up to the Lord.
Let us give thanks to the Lord our God.
It
is right to give our thanks and praise…
And so, with your people on earth and all
the company of heaven we praise your name and join their unending hymn:
Holy,
holy, holy Lord, God of power and might,
Heaven
and earth are full of your glory.
Hosanna
in the highest.
Blessed
is he who comes in the name of the Lord.
Hosanna
in the highest…
And so, in remembrance of these your
mighty acts in Jesus Christ, we offer ourselves in praise and thanksgiving as a
holy and living sacrifice, in union with Christ's offering for us, as we
proclaim the mystery of faith.
Christ
has died; Christ is risen; Christ will come again.
