Praise God, all creatures here below;
Praise God above, ye heavenly host; Praise
Father, Son and Holy Ghost. Amen.
*Offering Prayer
God of
grace, though we know we do not deserve it, you love us so much that you give
us precious gifts. We tend to give gifts cautiously, to give gifts of minimal
value, to give gifts from what remains after lavishing gifts on ourselves. You
gave your only Son, so that in believing, we would have eternal life. Our gifts
today seem so small, but you can multiply them through hearts that have been
warmed and softened and with them, you can change the world. Change us, the
givers, in the process. In Christ, we pray. Amen.
-Taking the Word to the World-
*Closing Hymn
“Because He Lives” #364

“I Love to Tell the Story” (refrain only) #156
I love to tell the story, ‘twill be my theme in
glory,
to tell the old, old story of Jesus and his
love.
Dear Friends at Mifflin Avenue,
I
want to take this opportunity to thank you for your faithfulness and support
while I served as your interim pastor during Pastor Kelly’s maternity
leave. I also want to thank you for the
nice farewell gathering on my last Sunday and for your generous gifts to
me. I appreciated them very much and all
of you. I will continue to remember you
in my prayers as we journey together in discipleship following the Risen
Christ.
Sincerely,
Dave
