*Invocation
We are
excited to be here, O unexpected God.
Our week has been full of the
mundane and predictable. But you are predictable only in your love and
grace.
So crash in among us and do something
decidedly not mundane; break through
our walls; stir things up; bring things down;
raise things up; turn things upside
down, and we will rejoice at your mighty
presence among us. Amen.

in The Faith We Sing
Silent Prayer / Pastoral Prayer / Lord’s Prayer
Our
Father who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name.
Thy kingdom come, thy will be done on earth as it
is in
heaven. Give us this day our daily
bread; and forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against
us;
and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.
For thine is the kingdom and
the power and the glory forever.
Amen.

*Offering Prayer
God who
calls us and sends us:
As we
offer our gifts this morning, remind us that what we place in the plate is only
the
beginning of what you ask from us. You've asked for
our hearts, our passion for the work
of compassion, love, and grace. You rely on
our talents and abilities to advance your Kingdom
here on Earth. We long,
like the servant Paul wrote about, to be useful to you. Help us to have
the confidence in ourselves that you have in
us, and help us to be listening when you call.
In
Christ's holy name, we pray. Amen.
