*Call to Worship
One: When God created the universe,
Many:
God was planning our future.
One: When the breath of God swept over the dark
waters,
Many:
God was thinking about us.
One: When God separated the light from the darkness
and the sea from dry land,
Many:
God was setting the stage for the rest of our lives.
One: When God breathed into humanity the breath
of life,
Many:
God was already preparing our pathways.
One: When God created living beings to swim in
the oceans, fly above the earth
and creep
upon the land, we were on God's mind.
Many:
We have always been on God's mind.
Today we turn our hearts and our
minds to worship God.

Silent Prayer / Pastoral Prayer / Lord’s Prayer
Our Father who art in heaven, hallowed be thy
name. Thy kingdom come, thy will be done
on earth
as it is
in heaven. Give us this day our daily
bread; and forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who
trespass against us; and lead us not into temptation, but
deliver us from evil. For thine is the kingdom and
the power and the glory forever. Amen.

*Offering Prayer
God of
all creation- we live in need of your mercy and your grace. We give our gifts
in praise of your goodness, but we know there
is so much that we have held back.
We go
forth in the world to do good and extend your love and compassion, but we
know there are places we will avoid and people
we will overlook. Help us to see in
Christ,
our mediator, the way to love you and all your children more fully.
We pray
in Christ's holy name. Amen.
