PRAYER in unison
Our
lives are full of challenges, O God, maybe not quite as bad as David fighting
Goliath,
but they are big enough for us to cope with. Please help us meet those challenges, rise to
meet your expectations for us. We know that you will always love us anyway,
but you
want us to be better people in serving
you. Help us to understand your ways in
directing
our lives through storms and droughts, and be
with us always. In Jesus’ name, we ask.
Amen.

PASTORAL PRAYER
THE LORD’S PRAYER in unison
Our
Father who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come, thy will
be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread; and forgive
us
our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us;
and lead us not into
temptation, but deliver us from evil. For thine is the
kingdom and the power and
the glory, forever.
Amen.
