GATHERING “Sun of My Soul” ~ G. Parker Mr. Christopher Koesel
GREETING AND
WELCOME
*THE PEACE
*CALL TO WORSHIP
Leader: Good people Of God, here in Your safe house of the Lord, pray with rejoicing of
God’s glorious gifts we
daily receive in abundance.
People: We accept your gifts with
praise and thanksgiving and give thanks for Your
forgiveness
of sins your Son unselfishly sacrificed on the cross for us that
Easter
morning.
Leader: Take today’s message out to the innocent ignorance of the people
who crave Your
love
and compassion. Bring your light to the
darkened places of evil in the world.
People: God’s light shines
brighter than any darkened night filled with sorrow and
shame. We take Your light
and promise to fan the flame of your goodness to
places where dark seems like an endless night.
Leader: For the desperate children of the world and all people, we do
this in Your holy
name.
People: We give you thanks and
praise, as we are all Your children in need of your
love.
Alleluia! Praise to God!
*HYMN “Children of the Heavenly Father” UMH 141
PRAYER in unison
Our great God, Father of all children, we
pray to you, not just today, but everyday, to bless
all
the children of the world. It is easy
for us to dismiss the comforts which we take for granted
while
being blinded by the oppression that happens in other parts of the world. We pray that
we
can have compassion and love to those with so little when we have been blessed
with so
much
in comparison. Help us to do all we can
to bring the love of Jesus to all lives in any small
way
we can. Help us do Your
work not just in word of mouth, but in action and gifts. In the
name
of Jesus Christ, who lives with you through the Holy Spirit, under one God, for
all children,
forever. Amen.

PASTORAL PRAYER
THE LORD’S PRAYER in unison
Our
Father who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come, thy will
be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread; and forgive
us
our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us;
and lead us not into
temptation, but deliver us from evil. For thine is the
kingdom and the power and
the glory, forever.
Amen.
