*CALL TO WORSHIP
Leader:
God does not hide from us; when we call out to God, we know that we are heard.
People: We come as a community to follow Jesus and
learn how to live like him.
Leader: Those who hear Jesus’ call to follow Him, let them learn what that call means.
People:
We want to follow, but we need to be shown the way. We know it won’t be
easy.
Leader: But
many generations have known about God, and have known his mercy in
saving those who follow Him.
People:
Present and future generations need to
be told about Jesus: who will tell them?
All: We must teach our children and their
children about God’s mercy and Jesus our
Lord. We
will teach by our example.

Tell Me the Stories of Jesus Stories of Jesus
*PRAYER in unison
Dear God, you
made promises to ancient people and the Bible tells us that you kept
every promise, even
if the people didn't do their part. In this
modern world, we find it is
sometimes very hard to
make promises to a God we cannot see and touch. Please help
us to find the
courage to resist the temptations around us, to accept Jesus as your promise
to us, if we
will just follow His way. We want to
live life as faithful Christians, with your help.
In Jesus' name we pray.

THE LORD’S PRAYER in unison
Our
Father who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come, thy will
be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread; and forgive
us
our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us;
and lead us not into
temptation, but deliver us from evil. For thine is the
kingdom and the power and
the glory, forever.
Amen.
