*CALL TO WORSHIP
But now in Christ Jesus you who once were far
off
have been brought near by the blood of Christ.
For he is our peace; in his flesh he has
made both groups into one
and
has broken down the dividing wall,
that
is, the hostility between us.
So
he came and proclaimed peace to you who were far off
and peace to those who were near;
for through him both of us have access in one
Spirit to the Father.
So
then you are no longer strangers and aliens,
but you are citizens with the saints
and also members of the household of God,
built upon the foundation of the apostles and
prophets,
with
Christ Jesus himself as the cornerstone.
In
him the whole structure is joined together
and grows into a holy temple in the Lord;
in whom you also are built together spiritually
into a dwelling place for God.
Thanks be to
God. Alleluia!

*PRAYER in unison
Risen Christ,
you
prepare a place for us,
in
the home of the Mother-and-Father of us all.
Draw us more deeply into
yourself,
through
scripture read,
water
splashed,
bread
broken,
wine
poured,
so
that when our hearts are troubled,
we
will know you more completely
as
the way, the truth, and the life. Amen.

THE LORD’S PRAYER in unison
Our
Father who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come, thy will
be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread; and forgive
us
our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us;
and lead us not into
temptation, but deliver us from evil. For thine is the
kingdom and the power and
the glory, forever.
Amen.

Is Made the Sure Foundation CWM Rhondda
Christ is made the sure foundation,
Christ the head and cornerstone;
chosen of the Lord
and precious,
binding all the
church in one;
holy Zion’s help
forever,
and her confidence
alone,
and her confidence
alone.
Here vouchsafe to all thy servants
what they ask of
thee to gain;
what they gain from
thee forever
with the blessed to
retain,
and hereafter in thy
glory
evermore with thee
to reign,
evermore with thee
to reign.
Laud and honor to the Father,
laud and honor to
the Son,
laud and honor to
the Spirit,
ever three and ever
one;
one in might and one
in glory,
while unending ages
run,
while unending ages
run. 7th cent. Latin, trans. John Mason Neale
