Pittsburgh Theological Seminary will host the annual Schaff Lectures Wed., March 23 at the Seminary. Keynote speaker is the Rev. Dr. Hak Joon Lee, associate professor of theology and ethics at New Brunswick Theological Seminary, New Brunswick, N.J. These lectures are free and open to the public.
This year’s Schaff Lectures will address the topic “God and Globalization: A Christian Ethical Reflection.” Lectures include “Is ‘Global Ethics’ Truly Global?: A ‘Glocal’ Approach to Global Ethics” at 11:30 a.m.; “Can Cosmopolitanism Be Locally Rooted? The Case of Martin Luther King Jr.” at 2:00 p.m.; and “Is America Still a City on a Hill? E Pluribus Unum and a Global Vision of the U.S.” at 7:30 p.m. All lectures will be held in the Hicks Memorial Chapel.
