Compassionate God, look at us with love, and open our hands and hearts so

Silent Prayer / Pastoral Prayer / Lord’s Prayer

Our Father who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name.  Thy kingdom come, thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven.

Give us this day our daily bread; and forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us; and lead us not into

temptation, but deliver us from evil. For thine is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever.  Amen.

Offering our Gifts and Tithes

Offering Prayer

Patient God, you sent your son into our midst to teach us that the things which are valued

by the world are not the things on which you would build your Kingdom. We have heard

these words time after time, throughout the centuries, and still we follow the world:

valuing the bold over the meek, the wealthy over the poor, embracing vengeance over mercy.

As we give our gifts this morning, may we affirm for ourselves and to the world what

Christ taught us – who is truly blessed in your sight. In Christ’s holy name, we pray. Amen.
