*Call to Worship

One:  In the beginning when God created

All:  A wind swept over the waters,
A breath warmed the dark voids,
        A Spirit called forth creation.

One:  God gave in grace:
All:  Let there be light for all to see,
Let there be water for all to splash in,
Let there be life in the midst of death
Yes, let there be life beyond death.

One:  And God invited and invites us to respond, rejoicing!
All:  It was good,
         It was awesome and awe-filled,

One:  It is good.

Remembering Our Baptism

Silent Prayer / Pastoral Prayer / Lord’s Prayer

Our Father who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name.  Thy kingdom come, thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven.

Give us this day our daily bread; and forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us; and lead

us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For thine is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever.  Amen.

Sharing our blessings

Offering our Gifts and Tithes

Offering Prayer

Holy God, we are reminded this morning as we remember Christ's baptism how you stooped to

meet us eye to eye in Christ, reassuring us through your presence. So now, as we give our gifts

to you, help us to see the faces of those who will look to us for a touch of compassion and love:

our words of kindness, our arms of comfort, and our generous gifts. Meet in us the longing

we have to hear your voice speak, "This is my beloved child, with whom I am pleased!"

We pray this in the name that is above all others, Jesus the Christ. Amen.
