Our great God, we welcome Christ as God-with-us, the fulfillment of our

dreams for a messiah. We worship you as one who fulfills your promises.

May we live up to your dreams for us as followers of your holy Son beginning

now, as we open our hearts and minds to the Spirit of the Christ child, in

whose name we pray. Amen.

Joys and Concerns

Silent Prayer / Pastoral Prayer / Lord’s Prayer

Our Father who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name.  Thy kingdom come, thy will be done on

earth as it is in heaven.  Give us this day our daily bread; and forgive us our trespasses as we forgive

those who trespass against us; and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For thine is

the kingdom and the power and the glory forever.  Amen.

*Offering Prayer

Generous God, in this season of love and giving, we can never outgive you.

Like the child who came to save us, we seek to grow in wisdom and in your

favor. Guide us in the offering of our resources of time and talent and wealth.

Help us to grow in faith as those who reflect a glimpse of your extravagant

generosity. Lead us into the New Year as those who seek for every step, every

word, every action to be pleasing in your sight and bring glory to you and to

your Son. In that glorious name, we pray. Amen.
