Lord’s Prayer

Our Father who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name.  Thy kingdom come, thy will be

done on earth as it is in heaven.  Give us this day our daily bread; and forgive us our trespasses

as we forgive those who trespass against us; and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from

evil. For thine is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever.  Amen.

Preparing the Table

Prayer of Confession

God, we have wandered from home, gone off looking for some-thing; some

vague longing; something that thrills or excites; something that takes away this

empty gnawing inside. We have wandered far, gotten lost, given up ever finding

 that which satisfies.

Loving God, you have been with us in the search, you have beckoned us home.

You have prepared a table for us, a huge welcoming party. And all heaven rejoices.

Thank you for seeking us again and again. Amen.
