*CALL TO WORSHIP

Leader: And in the last days it shall come to pass, God declares, that I will pour out

my Spirit on all flesh,

People: And your sons and daughters shall prophesy, your old shall dream

dreams, and you’re your young shall see visions.

Leader: When the day of Pentecost had come, they were all gathered together in one place.

People: And suddenly a sound came from heaven like the rush of a mighty wind, and it

filled all the house where they were sitting.

Leader: And there appeared to them tongues as of fire, distributed and resting on each of them.

People: And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit.

All:  Alleluia! Praise to God!

PRAYER  in unison

God of wind and word and fire, we bless your name this day for sending the light and

strength of your Holy Spirit.  We give you thanks for all the gifts, great and small, that

you have poured out upon your children.  On Memorial Day weekend, help us to remember

all those who have given their lives and service to this country, and be with their families

who remember so clearly, even to this day.  Accept us with our gifts to be living praise and

witness to your love throughout all the earth; through Jesus Christ, who lives with you in the

unity of the Holy Spirit, one God, forever. Amen.
