What We Do

We believe that the Church exists to make disciples of Jesus Christ for the transformation of the world.

Mifflin Avenue United Methodist Church is…

  • Welcoming: All are invited and welcome in our family of faith.
  • Worshiping: Our worship is grounded in tradition, focused on God and inspires participants to deepen their faith.
  • Nurturing: Our goal is to create an inclusive community where we become family to each other.
  • Sending: We are sent out to minister to the world. sharing God’s Good News with all.

As members, we promise to uphold the church with our prayers, our presence, our gifts, our service and our witness.

The people of the United Methodist Church in Western Pennsylvania are committed to engaging in ministry with the poor, stamping out killer diseases by improving health globally, developing principled Christian leaders for the Church and the world, dismantling racism, and involving more and more people in this important work.
